Island Park Idaho Hotels and Alternatives

Island Park Idaho  has become   a destination in its own right,  but since it is so close in proximity to Yellowstone’s  west   entrance, many Yellowstone visitors choose to find accommodations here .  There are a handful of  Island Park hotels  offered in Island Park  .  Angler’s Lodge is right  on the river  in the Last Chance area, and provides rooms with 1-2 queen beds priced  from $159-$179 for summer rates.    The lodge specialized in guided fishing trips.    In the Macks Inn area  is Macks Inn Resort, which  has   river-front  rooms  from $89-$140.  On the north end of Island Park, near the golf course,  is Sawtelle Mountain Resort.  This hotel provides economy single queen rooms to deluxe double queen rooms  from $89-$119 nightly during the  summertime .  If you are  searching for  luxury in a hotel, about 45 minutes south of  Yellowstone is Henry’s Fork Lodge, with average summer rates of $400 per person per night.  This lodge provides exceptional river-front accommodations with 3 gourmet meals a day included. 

If you  think   Island Park Idaho hotels may  cramp your style, consider joining the many visitors to the Island Park area who choose to stay in a privately owned vacation rental.   This is a great choice for larger groups especially,  who want to stay together and not be split up into multiple hotel rooms.  People also choose to go this route when they want more seclusion and privacy than a hotel offers, of for those who want the option of cooking their own meals.   Island Park cabins range  in price from  the mid $100’s per night to the mid $800’s   per night, depending on size, quality of lodging and amenities. 

A group of 10 can  stay in a nice cabin with granite countertops, gas fireplace, and hot tub for as little as $200 per night.  This can be a huge savings compared to staying in hotel rooms, which usually have a maximum occupancy of 5.   Added  savings come   when figuring the cost of cooking one’s own meals in the cabin’s fully equipped kitchen versus eating out. 

 Larger groups may realize even greater savings when staying in a cabin rental.     Private vacation rentals   are available with up to  8 private bedrooms.   Even the most expensive of rental cabins would only cost each couple in this situation $100 per night.     The amenities of the cabins, such as hot tubs, board games, and even billiards provide a nice respite during stormy weather or after long trips into Yellowstone.    

Most of the  Island Park rentals  have outdoor decks or porches as well,   with patio furniture, gas grills, and  even fire pits for roasting mallows.     Cabin   amenities provide  added opportunities  for relaxing socialization and enjoyment of the natural surroundings.
